Curtains and Canning

I finally connected with a Craigslister in another city to pick up curtain rods for my living room, hung the rods, and put up the curtains I’ve had here in a box since early December! They’re just in time for the snowstorm swooshing outside my window as I type. I’m hoping the triple-thick drapes (six! 95-inchers from Wal-Mart of all places) cut the draft from the windows enough to be able to sit on the windowed side of the living room!

By the way, if you wondered, yes, that is a Home Reserve couch, the kind that comes in a box and can be assembled by one person in about 2 hours.  🙂

So once the curtains were up, I fed the addiction by canning some beans.

As I’m technically on break right now, I have no excuse for feeling so uber-stressed, but I’m finding canning to be a self-soothing activity.

Thus ends my inexcusably random transmission–

Off to find another project to conquer!
